1. Chinese Your Way
Specially designed for American middle school students, Chinese Your Way is a set of multimedia class materials that introduces Chinese language and culture. With attention catching “travel notes” in place of traditional textbooks, learners begin to understand China by building an appreciation for its history, geography, and social customs. Using the novel “sandwich” approach of teaching Chinese, these materials take full advantage of the students’ mother tongue in aiding their language study, an approach that has achieved impressive results and earned high praise in the industry. In March 2008, Chinese Your Way was listed as one of “China’s Key Promoting Publishing Projects”, and in May, it was named as a Supplementary Topic of Key National Electronic Publication for the 11th Five-Year Plan. At the 3rdConfucius Institute Conference in December of the same year, it was honored with “Award for Innovative Multimedia Courseware”.
